The European pre-standardENV 581-2:2000which had been used over 9 years for evaluation of the safety and performance requirements for outdoor seating, was finally revised and approved by the Technical Committee CEN/TC 207 “Furniture” into an official European StandardEN 581-2:2009.

581-2:2009。
EN 581-2:2009supersedesENV 581-2:2000and all CEN members are required to adopt this new standard into their national standards and withdraw the conflicting standards at the latest by October, 2009.
EN 581-2:2009取代ENV 581-2:2000，強(qiáng)制要求所有CEN 成員將此新標(biāo)準(zhǔn)采用為其國家標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，并要求最晚在2009 年10 份之前回收與此標(biāo)準(zhǔn)沖突的其他標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
Similar to the pre-standard,EN 581-2:2009specifies，the mechanical safety requirements and test methods of outdoor seating for camping, domestic and contract use for adults, without regard to materials, design /construction or manufacturing processes. However,outdoor furniture for severe contract use, and nformation regarding ageing and degradation caused by light, temperature and moisture are not covered by this standard. All test requirements in this standard are evaluated based on use by persons weighing up to 110kg.
與預(yù)備標(biāo)準(zhǔn)類似，EN581-2:2009詳細(xì)說明了供露營，家用及訂制成人戶外座椅的機(jī)械安全要求和測試方法，而不論此類座椅的材料，設(shè)計/結(jié)構(gòu)或生產(chǎn)加工過程。然而，標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中并未包含嚴(yán)苛訂制用戶外家具，以及光照，溫度及濕度造成的剝蝕和老化。標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中的所有測試要求均以體重高達(dá)110 公斤的人為評估基礎(chǔ)。
